Spirograph... Do you remember these? When I was a small boy many, many moons ago I was fascinated with all things creative I could list many things that I used to do, but we’ll leave that for another day Now let’s get back to the Spirograph… I remember the day my dad brought me one of these things It was like getting a pot of gold, a real big jackpot moment! I held it and just gazed at it for what seemed like seconds, but it was probably more like hours Then I opened it up, and inside it looked something like this… Well as you can imagine, I was more excited that a kid in a sweet shop, you know that feeling right? So I began taking out the pieces one by one, then reading the instructions and then the fun really began I was putting the smaller spiros in the larger master spiro, then using the pens in the holes, spinning them round and round, creating patterns that I never thought possible, mind blown! You’re probably wondering what I’m going on about, well I got you, here’s a video I found so you can see it in action: I know what you’re thinking “But I’ve never seen such sorcery before” That’s exactly what I was thinking too, my daily life got taken over by this wicked magic, to the point where I was spending hours creating geometric masterpieces I think at one point my dad started to regret buying it, after his fifth trip to buy another paper ream If you would like to buy one for your own kids they’re still available, try getting one through this link (Almost exactly the same as mine from the 80's!): Of course, as with all things you love when you’re a kid, I got bored and moved on to something else after a few months But you just never forget the things you loved when you’re young right? Let me know if you had the awesome Spirograph when you were a kid, or if not what you did have just by replying, I read and respond to everyone!
