HOT CHOCOLATE FUDGE SAUCE... I knew that would get your attention! Did you have an absolute favourite treat when you were a kid, one that you’ll never forget? I had many, but one that stands out is my mother’s home made hot chocolate fudge sauce.. Now let’s get real here, I don’t think she’s made it since I was about 16 years old, and that was 33 years ago! But it has made a lasting impact on my mind I remember the first time she made it, I was in the living room drawing cars (again), when this heavenly aroma wafted into the room.. My positive receptors were going haywire, you know the feeling where you’ve just go to go see what that heavenly smell is? Like in the cartoons where the character is lifted into the air by the aroma... So I got into the kitchen and saw what she was doing, you just can’t imagine how awesome this was but I’ll try and paint a picture.. There was a large bar of chocolate with over half of it removed, there was an empty tin of what I think was sweetened condensed milk, plus some kind of yellow packet.. She was at the oven top stirring a brown mixture in a brown clear glass pan with a wooden spoon The whole kitchen was swimming in this magical aroma so I asked that question we all did “That smells sooo good, what is it?” The words she spoke I shall never forget “It’s hot chocolate fudge sauce” I was then joined in the kitchen by my younger brother who asked the very same question and got the same answer You know those moments when you just both know what to do or say next? We said “Please can we try some, please?” Then the words every kid wants to hear “Just dip your finger in, but be careful as it’s hot” see what I did there? I would never forget that first taste of the home made nectar Every time it was made after that, both my brother and I would often bump into each other in the middle of the night, sneaking downstairs after mum and dad had gone to bed to dip our fingers into the cold sauce in the fridge Let me tell you, home made hot chocolate fudge sauce tastes just as awesome when it’s cold My parents would often look puzzled at the glass dish in the fridge, with a ruffled cling film covering and some finger shaped indentations in the sauce.. The moral of this story is this.. All things made with quality ingredients mixed with care, attention and memorable ingredients last much longer than inferior, cheaper ‘off the shelf’ products With that in mind, if you are looking for quality socials profile design that makes as lasting instant impression, then let me design yours for you.. My dad took a picture of me when I was about 10 years old, cleaning out my hamster cage, notice the smile on my face? It’s NOT real and I had just finished crying like a baby... Ah… the agony of doing things you don’t want to You can see the residue of tears in my eyes right? But I was still just as handsome as kid as I am now,...
Legacy Lounge Newsletter 14 Bad Stuff Happens.. Bad stuff is a part of our lives, it’s inevitable.. It's okay buddy! When you’re young, like 6–11 years old, bad stuff is things like getting sent to bed early or having your favourite toy car taken away from you It generally feels like your world has caved in, when you’re sat in your bedroom two whole hours before normal bedtime You’d ask “Please can I come back downstairs?” over and over again to no avail, then fall asleep thirty minutes later...
